Manassas National Battlefield Park The park interprets the First (1861) and (1862) Battles of Manassas, also known as the Battles of Bull Run. Open Daily, 8:30 - 5:00, except Christmas Day. (703)-361-1339 Ben Lomond Manor House & Old Rose Garden The manor (1837) is believed to have been occupied by both Confederate and Union troops as a wartime hospital. Today one of the largest collections of antique roses adorns the once desolate grounds. Ph.703-792-7060 The regions storied past is preserved through permanent and changing exhibits. Echoes, The museum Store, has a variety of evocative keepsakes, prints, postcards and items of historical interest. $ Open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday. Closed New Year's Day. Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Day. Also part of the Museum System. The James & Marion Payne Railroad Heritage Gallery is located across the street at the Depot. Located at the Manassas Regional Airport, the museum features vintage vehicles and aircraft on aprons and runways adjacent to the terminal building. The grounds of this Romanesque revival building were the site of the historic 1911 Manassas National Jubilee of Peace, where survivors of the Confederate and Union armies met and shook hands on the field where they were once locked in mortal combat.
